How did you discover scrapbooking?
I started scrapbooking in the year 2000 but it feels like I have been scrapbooking all of my life. I discovered the craft when I was invited to attend a scrapbooking party and thought how ridiculous it sounded and I didn’t even want to go. But as my sister in law Minette was the hostess I decided to go along. From the minute I stuck down those stickers and triangular bits of paper onto my page I was hooked!
What do your family think about your scrapbooking?
On the whole, my family are pretty happy about me being a scrapbooker. I think they are used to me carting my camera around everywhere with me and always being in their faces.
What’s your favourite colour combination?
I love bright colour combinations. At the moment I am particularly loving using black and white cardstock with lots of bright bold colours thrown into the mix!
And three products you tend to always reach for when creating?
I automatically grab for chipboard alphabets, ribbons and buttons..and lately FELT! Gosh I am loving that at the moment.
Would you describe yourself as a slow or fast scrapper?
I am a fast scrapper. Usually I will start and finish a layout within 1-2 hours. I like everything done and then packed away and tidy again ready for when I start creating my next project.
Are you interested in other crafts?
At the moment the only craft I am interested in is scrapbooking. I used to create lots of country craft items and actually had a market stall at Camden markets which seems like a life time ago now!
Tell us a little about your family life?
I am married to my wonderful man Mitch and we have just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. We have two boys: Josh who is 14.5yrs and Jordan is almost 12. We live at North Nowra in NSW at the moment. I say at the moment, because we tend to move alot!
How do you feel about being on the @home support team?
I am totally thrilled to be part of the @home team…I mean who wouldn’t be! I am totally EXCITED about being part of this wonderful adventure! And I can’t wait to get started.
