Five minutes with Gigi…

Gigi’s scrapbooking and papercrafting can be described as whimsical and loaded with texture. Her projects usually contain a large dose of neutral tones with pops of colour. No project is complete without some stitching - by machine or hand - and ink around the edges.

Gi is a proud Design Team member of Tarisota and has been published in Cards Magazine and Scrapbooks etc. She has also contributed to Claudine Hellmuth’s Scrapbooker’s Creativity Kit and Pencil Lines, The Sketch Book.

I absolutely LOVE Kim’s free Happy Garden tutorial as featured on her blog. It’s such a fun project that I could never tire of creating them over and over again. Those happy little flowers sure keep us all smiling through the grey and cold New York winters.

Seam binding - both vintage and new - (our Australian girls know that as bias binding) is one of my new favourite things. I love to:

  • tie it on a tag
  • use it to bind a mini book
  • sew a ruffle of it on my page
  • tiw a bow around a treasured photo or some journaling
  • use it as a hanger for a home decor item

I just LOVE it. It is just so pretty and comes in such gorgeous colours - I think I find a way to add it to each and every project I make lately!
